Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue

Purpose:

To maintain and promote the orthodox forms of traditional Judaism, to promote and encourage Youth activities, to provide and support educational, cultural and social activities within the congregation and the community, and to support local and national bodies whose aims are to strengthen Anglo-Jewry.

In furtherance of these aims, facilities have been made available within the synagogue grounds for the Menorah School.

Services are held morning and evening (times from office) and there is a thriving Juniors’ Service which meets every Shabbat and Yom Tov morning at 10.30am and Torah Tots at 10.45am.

J.M.T. Events caters for young Jewish professionals, 21-35 in Leeds by putting on a range of unique events, which have an inclusive sociable and relaxed atmosphere with the aim of strengthening the Jewish identity and their commitment to the Leeds Jewish community.
